Sometimes the question arises about what to post on Facebook, and how much to post, and how to structure the message, etc.
This infographic gives a good first overview of what to look out for when creating Facebook content.
- Be consistent
When creating Facebook content, be consistent and post regularly. For example, post twice a day, once a day, or twice a week – the important thing is that your followers get used to your pace and start expecting new content. - Use pictures
A picture is worth a thousand words – and so is Facebook. Adding a relevant, high quality image to every post increases engagement by a whopping 2.3 times. Make your own images, don’t use image banks – users love real people doing real things. - Be useful to your followers
Post information about your product or service that your followers find useful and tell them what problem your product or service solves for them. - Post at the right time
Find out when your followers are most active on Facebook and post content at that time. You can assess the behaviour of your followers on your Facebook page under “Statistics”. - Don’t sell
Nobody likes an aggressive salesman and the same goes for social media. Constantly directing your customer to buy just scares them away. When promoting services, it’s a good idea to use the 4/1 rule: for every 4 useful posts, make 1 sales-oriented post. However, if you need help posting to Facebook, you could also consider outsourcing a social media management service.
