The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) will come into force on 25.05 and will apply to all companies that collect data about their customers.
If you are an e-tailer who sends a newsletter to a customer who has made a purchase but has not specifically subscribed to the newsletter. Or are you instead a trader who has bought a list with an e-mail address to whom you then send direct offers? All companies that work with customer data need to pay attention to their customers’ data, how it is reproduced and how it is deleted.
This is a fairly easy to understand video about GDPR and in particular about sending newsletters.
